Don't Starve - Fighting Guide

This guide will help you learn to fight/improve your fighting skills.

By now you would have developed a fighting technique, whether this would be throwing boomerangs, blowing darts, kiting or going rambo.

We will focus on the InStiNctWalRus style of fighting.

We will talk about kiting!
Kiting is a very simple idea, most players will have figured this out on their self, if you have, you can skip this section. Kiting is the action, of hit and run, in the game you will notice that all enemies have times between their attacks, you can exploit this to your advantage (This is not an exploit), all this requires is making the enemy miss its attack, and then going in for a couple of hits, rinse lather repeat. Only a few enemies this cannot be done on, and those enemies should be approached with caution.

Approach all of these enemies with caution, as you cannot kite them, MacTusk is the most deadliest, as it is almost impossible to run from him, as he has massive range with blow darts. When approaching or seeing one of these, always be prepared.

Secondly is food.
The most useful recipes for being prepared is.
Honey Ham:

And Honey Poultice: (Poultice is a bandage not food)

Use these when low on health, mainly in fighting. Jerky can be an alternative too if you don't have a bee-box.

Range weapons such as the boomerang Boomerangcan be useful for farming morsels, they shouldn't be used directly for fighting, but more so for drawing aggro, e.g from the Deerclops destroying all your structures
